Hi, I'm looking for a laptop to replace my desktop PC.
I wanted something that will play Sniper Elite V2 so I have been matching up the graphics cards on the Sniper Elite V2 graphic card list web site.
If it will run that ok then it will do everything else I need. There are some good laptops on JB Hifi under $1000 that will do the job but when I read reviews about them there is always problems with them. Although it always seem with reviews that the more expensive laptops get the better reviews. I wish they would do more reviews on sub $1000 laptops as a group rather than compare a $1000 laptop with a $3000 one and say the $1000 one only scores 60%.
Can anyone suggest a Laptop that will do what I want under $1000. I would prefer Asus, Toshiba, or Samsung and maybe Sony.

This (http://www.harveynorman.co.nz/toshiba-l750d-050-laptop.html) or this? (http://www.harveynorman.co.nz/toshiba-c665-013-laptop.html)

My brother has the latter, is working really well.

+1 for the second one. 6520g is a capable card. I'm guessing the first one has the GMA HD?

Personally I would buy something from here: http://shopap.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/nzweb/LenovoPortal/en_NZ/catalog.workflow:category.details?action=init&current-catalog-id=3634951826AE4D3881BFFF1AC5FCD957&current-category-id=CCAA98F81F1149E1BC701E0BB6728667

Best value for money laptop range as far as im concerned. If you're checking pricing dont forget to use this coupon when at the checkout/cart: WSJU1101

I used ASUS N53SV-DH51. It is really an awesome laptop. You will have no problems with it (at least I didn’t).
