Running Sunbelt Personal Firewall (free edition) and installed printer to work wirelessly. The installation was problematic until I turned off the firewall and then things worked flawlessly. How do I configure the firewall to accept the printer? My only work around at this point of time is to disable the firewall when I want to use the printer. Thanks in anticipation .:)

Looks like that firewall is now discontinued (http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Home-Home-Office/Sunbelt-Personal-Firewall/)

What version of windows is installed?

Why do you want a firewall?

Hi Speedy...Running Windows XP Home. Fred Fish.......I presume a firewall promotes added security hence that is the perceived reason for running one. Are you implying that they are not necessary?

Go into the firewall settings and allow the complete range of your router/LAN that way doesn't matter what IP address any device on the LAN has the router will let it through.

As an example my routers gateway is 192.168.1.1 so the firewall is set to allow 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255
