I believe it's designed for businesses whose mission-critical programs only work on Windows XP, hence the restriction.

It's rubbish anyway, the 2 things I tried it on still don't work.

On the M$ webstie you can "pretend" to have a *better* version of windows that what you actually have.

That might let you trick them into letting you download it, but I suspect it wouldn't actually install.

On the M$ webstie you can "pretend" to have a *better* version of windows that what you actually have. As agent said - it will allow you to download, but it wont install ( been there tried that). What does work is VMlite (http://www.vmlite.com/) - it can use MS's XP mode and works reasonably well.
