Who is your ISP, is it xtra? Are the failure notices all from the same one?

The error message says to stop sending mail to non-existant addresses and the 'problem' will go away. :)

Actually, unless you are in China (Received: from [123.53.107.47]), it is somebody else sending on your behalf (using your address for their MAIL FROM: address) and there is nothing you can do about it.

Well, you normally only get a notice like that if you have sent to an incorrect address. Unless your email has been compromised in some way. Do other emails you send get there ok?

As mentioned above... I would change the email password and see if the issue goes away.

I think the problem is with Xtra's yahoo mail server. I do receive those on and off.

am not sending mail to these address's, it automatically does it for some reason.
Am going to try changing my email password and if that doesn't work get in touch with xtra mail tomorrow.
thanks any way

thanks bk T,
have changed the email password. Will see if that stops them, otherwise I will contact xtra mail tomorrow.

Read the post from fred_fish
It has nothing to do with passwords or yahoo server.
It is spam being sent with a forged email address in the from Field and that person then gets all the returned emails.

thanks safari,
have re read fred_fish's post...the part quoted below is i guess what relates to my problem, as i definitely don't live in china.
".....it is somebody else sending on your behalf (using your address for their MAIL FROM: address) and there is nothing you can do about it."
does this mean that i have to live with it...?

Yep, there is nothing you can do about it unless you want to change your email address.
It is quite common for this to happen and should stop eventually when they pick some other email address to send with.
