Hi everyone. I am a novice at tech here and I need good reliable backup software. I need a program that will back up my files in my office. I'd like to be able to keep them on my NAS in the same structure as they are on my computer. If it possible free but as long it's worth it I'm willing to spend on it.

Shadow Protect Desktop Edition. Not free, but certainly worth the $$$.

Syncback. The free edition is fine.

Yes, this is good and it also allows you to create profiles and run them automatically.

Syncback as others have said is free, works, keeps the same file structure, can be run on schedule or manually and is easy to understand. It can just backup or synchronise depending on what you set it up for

I can't say anything about Syncback, I've never used it before. You can try Praetorian Guard. I use it for network monitoring but I know it has a Backup module as well and it is not very expensive.
