I keep getting messages like Explorer has caused an error in KERNELL32.DLL
Restart your computer.
Also other programs liki Windows Media Player, Winmx etc
Is it a hardware or software problem
How do I fix it

Just off the top of my head, it sounds like a program you've recently installed has overwritten that file. In these cases I install windows over top of itself. This usually cures the problem. You may have to reinstall IE5.5 and the later direct x along with it.

Hope that helps.

I had a similair problem in which everything caused at kernell.32 error. I spent a very frustrating few days eliminating software as the cause and eventually the manufacturer agreed that it was the motherboard. They replaced it and hey presto. Just make sure that it is not your software first by starting up in safe mode and adding one programme at a time.If the fault happens withonly the bare minimum of programmes then have a look at your motherboard but check the software first....techs cost money if its not under warranty
