Hi guys.

Any you guys got a Skinny sim card yet?

I got one and works good in my XT mobile.

I put it in my old Nokia and it asks for password.

I rang Skinny and they couldn't help.

Anyone know what can be done to by pass the password?

Thanks,

Ian

Its a new network, (for youth / via Telecom by the looks of it), and the commerce comm were looking into it. Because their sims are / were locked to Skinny, if you buy one of their mobiles

Vodafone & 2degrees are compatible networks.

XT is not, it runs on different technology utilizing different frequencies. The phone likely won't work even if you can get it unlocked.

I have tried Skinny with one of their free SIM. Good value at $4 / week and if you talk allot with out doing much data or SMS that's 160 Minutes / month for $16. The only thing stopping me using it more is no MMS at present..

They say its for the "young ones" leaving CDMA.

But we is oldies (ssh late 50's) and sounds like a good plan, to me , at $4.00 and $5.00 topups.:clap

Why would a telecom owned company piggyback off the Vodafone network instead of the Telecom network?

I rang them, 0800 SKINNY and asked them why their Sim arrived in a Telecom envelope. They said Telecom had set them up.
