View Full Version : Changing a location of a file

I have a HP HD-4100 webcam and every time I take a picture it goes to my user directory and I can't figure out how to change the target directory to D:Pictures. I know you can change to target directory without going into the hardware's software but I just can't remember how can some help? If I go into properties of the picture I can't change the location but I know there is a way so every time I take a picture I want it to go into the location I want.

This works for many apps but not sure if it will for a webcam. Assuming there is a desktop icon for your cam, right click it and select Properties, Shortcut tab. In the 'Start in' box enter the full path to your desired storage folder (D:\Pictures, I gather). You may need to include this in inverted commas. This usually sets the Working Directory.
