Hi
I am currently using the x32 version of Windows 7 and am wondering if upgrading to the x64 version of Windows is worth it so I can use more than 4gb of RAM? This is because I often run out of physical memory ( I have 4gb installed) when running games or doing 3D rendering and when multitasking multiple RAM intensive programs.

Thanks.

Thats the only way you're going to use more than 4 GB. Install x64. Altho, if you use 32 bit programs, these also have a limit. So, if you want to use more ram for programs, you'll also have to install 64 bit programs. If they're available, for what you want to do

Just in case you didn't know, it will have to be fully reinstalled along with all your programs and data ( after its been backed up) , you cant upgrade a current 32 bit OS to 64.
