And the RIAA, MPAA will have their snoops out there looking for TelstraClear IP addresses..

Yeah I can see a whole lot of "regular" customers getting pissed off at the slow-down pretty damn quick, unless they're going to rush out and get themselves a whole lot more international bandwidth...

Let ya know on the weekend -- I got a bit I wanted to download from MS to try certain programs, or newer versions, but the files are a bit big when I normally want them, and quota for the month is always near topped out ( Murphy's law).

Yup I downloaded a 230mb file at 1.6... Thought it would be slower if a lot of people were online. And watching cricket online atm. Its not lagging. Too bad I cant see if the Xbox lags. Dont have a gold acct

1.6 megabits or megabytes per-second Speedy? Coz 1.6MB would be 12mbps, which is decent...

The downloads were a little slow last night, but the stuff I'm getting is from MS, so sometimes thats slower anyway.

Currently sitting reasonably steady at 900 - 1100-- KB/s with the occasional burst to 3413

The MS stuff is usually akamai cached so should be lightning quick, as in we pull it down at 100mbps at work. Consistently.

I'm glad it's working out for some people.

However this really isn't (http://www.speedtest.net/result/1626485804.png) going to be a fun weekend. Was going to play a bit of WoW, but the latency is horrible at the moment, averaging a four second delay.

In fact I can't even load the program guide from the Sky website it's THAT bad.

Maybe I should see what's happening outside.

Certainly slow - normally I'm 15mbs, now 5 - Telstra Clear Cable. Starts fast, and then is throttled back. Ah well - it's a sunny and hot day outside.

From what I've read over at Geekzone it's not going too well..
