My old Driver for this modem (v. 2.1.2.122, it came on that famous Computer Associates CD) had become unstable, and I downloaded a very good and stable new version of this driver (v. 2.1.2.135) from the Internet. It runs well BUT it does NOT have the NZ Country Settings in its INF file. I am currently running (for lack of a NZ option) my modem on US-settings. I am not a specialist in this area, so I suspect that this could go wrong.

Where can I obtain this 2.1.2.135 version of the driver with the NZ Country Option?

I have searched the Web for days for a NZ-adaptable version of this driver update, no luck. At the Dynalink site, at first it seemed they have a NZ adaptation of this driver, but it turend out it's for a different modem, so i can't use it, however I thried to use that country settings file only, but it is not recognised in my 2.1.2.135 update.

I can't write INF files, so I can't work the old 2.1.2.122 INF NZ Country settings into the new 2.1.2.135 INF File structure, or is there an easy way?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it is that old dog, the Rockwell HCF 56K Speakerphone PCI Modem. Rockwell is now Conexant, and they want to have nothing to do with their old products.

Grab the generic ones here:

http://www.conexant.com/cnxt/customer/md_assistance.htm

They work great, theres no NZ option, but i've had no problem using USA for about a year.

The lastest is 2.1.2.171.

Now all I need is the linux drivers their promising.

Be wary of downloading conexant drivers from unknown sites, as some are 'hacked' new versions, which cause great unstability.
Some promise V.92 connectivity or other new features, but are just crap.
