When you say MSN...

Do you mean MSN Messenger? Or a newer version (windows live messenger)

Or perhaps MSN explorer?

Are you using "Add/Remove Windows Components" ?

i got your questions, maybe you need to restart your computer. cause some of your MSN or MSN explorer components is in using, so you cann't uninstall them until you shut all the service down.

press ctrl+alt+del check the window Task Manager, and check which component is in using , then click End task, click ok. You know some of the MSN service components Auto Startup. So you can only uninstall the MSN with shutting down all the service.
