Yeah I'm quite pleased, they're mostly nice, fun, and yes there is beer in that fridge in the lunch room. Staff are allowed to drink it on Friday.

And it's busy which I like. It's a lot of learning too, as there's stuff I've never had anything to do with - which is good. It's interesting - security type things as well. So in all, can't complain.

Karls my buddy, he's unofficially elected himself as my tutor. And he's hard case too, so fun. He does a good job, they were going to move me to someone else today but nah, I like Karls style of help.

And it came in handy that my website was with webbase too, they give you one to practice on, but I just use mine, seeing as it's there and has content still.
Happened to find a small issue which turned out to be a bit of a glitch or something they hadn't noticed before.

Rather useful.

They have Webbase, WebDrive and Openhost. Lots of reseller accounts and so on, so lots of VPS and Linux server stuff too.

Oh and James has been most helpful with that side of things should I need to consult those higher ups that look after the server magic.

Could be computer nerd heaven.

Weren't you with HP there for a while?

Probably best of all, is being in a thriving business. Get the skills to make yourself indispensible, then enjoy both an income and job security.

Congrats!

Well done PCTek! Glad you're enjoying it! I have several sites with OpenHost and have always had great support. Last issue was sorted by June - I stuffed up an upgrade of some forum software by reinstalling the whole application (instead of just the upgraded pages) and June worked through sorting it out with me. I was very appreciative since it was a third party app and OpenHost had no obligation to sort it out....

HP??
Me?? I'd never work for them.

With me I have to like them - not just what they do but how they do it too. Reputation, CS and all that. These guys are pretty serious about that.

I went to a Borland conference in Wellington years ago and what surprised me was apart from there only being one female was that it could have been a bunch of people grabbed off the footpath. They went from extremely well dressed to some that almost looked like bums.

I'm very happy for you pctek.:thumbs:
