Hi Guys.
Acer Aspire 5750 running W7 64 bit.
When I first got the computer I was ditching the crap and tweeking the machine. I think I did something with the touch pad which disabled it. (I prefer a mouse)Since then I have tried without success to restart it as SWMBO wants to use it.

The Startup (in CCleaner) shows it what I think is the starting line:
SynTPEnh %ProgramFiles%\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe

It is enabled and I cannot see any other program related to the touchpad.

Any ideas very welcome

Reinstall the drivers (http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?modelId=3474). Get the Synaptics touchpad drivers. Hopefully theyre 64 bit

Downloading now and yes the Synaptics driver is 64 bit. Thanks a bunch Speedy. Hopefully it will fix it.

OK. Downloaded the driver and installed it. Went without a hitch.http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/images/smilies/thumbs.gif But still not working.:badpc:
Disconnected the mouse thinking it might work without the mouse connected but no different.
Any more ideas out there?

Try turning it back on/off --press the FN+F7 key at the same time.

Manual attached. ;)
