GMail Video chat v Skype

Pros and Cons for both> Is one significantly better than the other? Would they use about the same amount of data for the same time?

Never used Gmail video only Skype. I suppose it depends how long you talk for. Altho I havent bothered to see how much data Skype uses

Google Talk uses marginally less than Skype.

By and large, in my limited experience with both, I've found it's basically just "a video call", little else. Hard to see many pros / cons when it "just works".

Google Talk tries to go direct for the voice / video. Skype bounces all over the show.
