View Full Version : Remove black line from right hand side of emails?

Sometimes a black shadow appears down the right hand margin of emails. When the message is printed it extends down the whole length of an A4 page. How does one stop this from appearing? Thanks guys.

Could this be outlook's stationary? Stationary is outlook's fancy name for html emails - where you can pictures, and fancy formatting. This could be the cause of your black line?

The black line appears when someone has replied to an email in HTML format (usually in Outlook or Outlook Express).
There is really no way to get rid of it, but you could try this...
Open the email you want to print, and select all text (Edit > Select All)
then copy the selected text (Edit > Copy)
Open Microsoft Word, and paste the text into Word (Edit > Paste)
then select all again, and click on the <-Indent button, or the Bullet button, in the toolbar until the line disappears.

I hope this does the job.

Thanks very much guys. Next time will you please wait until I have finished my question before you give me an answer. Sorry about duplication, couldn't remember whether I had hit the Post button or not. I'm 80, might have a problem eh. God bless.
