I've right clicked on the recycle bin icon on the desktop, selected properties and all it shows me is the size of the drive.

I've opened the recycle bin, selected everything (CTRL A), right clicked on properties and it doesn't produce anything.

I'm sure I used to be able to see the total amount of junk in there - or was that XP?

If you run CC or Glaries it will tell you how much space you will recover by emptying the recycle bin

Hi Clive

Does that mean Vista can't do it? That's stoopid.

If you select all the items in the bin window, the size should come up at the bottom.

Yep, just select all and it shows the total size at the bottom. (Win Vista)
