I bought a Logitech C270 webcam.
Written on the box it says "Universal clip fits laptops, LCD or CRT monitors, but the user manual only shows how to fit it to fit it to laptops.? The website is no help either.

I have a CRT. but I cannot find any way of attaching it short of gluing it! Has anyone solved this problem?

Usually theyre made for LCD's. Since the top of LCD's are thinner than Crts

You didn't read my post before commenting on it; though I did forget to close the quotes after - CRT monitors".

I should have read "Universal clip fits laptops, LCD or CRT monitors"

Yea, that double sided stuff will work fine. I've used it for other purposes.

What do you even need a clip for?

I've got a CRT and my webcam just sits on the flat part at the top front...

Ah, he could be in Christchurch.

If that's the case ... 4" nails and 5 minute Epoxy Resin Glue should suffice .. :D

Is the glue for piecing your CRT back together after it has imploded from driving 4" nails into it?

I used Blu-Tac for my camera and it is still up there solid as a rock.

Blu-Tac also has a very long shelf life and an equally long life in use. I've got stuff that has been up for years with BluTac and it is still there. It is the flexible equivalent to Duct tape, and I recommend it, but don't use the the cheap equivalents, they dry up in no time!

Cheers
