Is this useful to anyone (http://www.wondershare.com/topic/giveaway-liveboot2012.html)?

I haven't tried it, know nothing about it, so am just "putting it out there".

If it's no good please post and say so.

Its pretty hopeless since you cant download the setup file (which is 314mb by the looks of it) You get a link for a downloader file, in email run it, And it gives you a 0x00000009 error whatever that means

Yeah, I got that as well - thought it might be just me.

Maybe they'll fix it - tho I couldn't finda anywhere to notify them about it.

At exactly what stage is the error appearing ??

I'm downloading it now - and so far no errors ?? Not exactly fast :sleep

It maybe overloaded. The error appears BEFORE it downloads anything. Straight after you run it and click on download

Still doesn't work here. I dont have any firewalls (apart from Win7's). Or anything else they maybe blocking the download

Downloaded set-up file from email link, run set-up and it asks for email address and keycode to be entered. Entered email and provided keycode and set-up says it is invalid. I have no confidence in software if they can't get that right.

Figured out what 0x00000009 MAY mean. System restore is disabled. Just turned it back on it started to download

For those who installed this / then made the cd, then uninstalled it. It leaves entries for Imgburn in the autorun menu (if / when you put a blank cd / dvd in).

If you want to remove these entries, you can use Cleanhandlers (http://windowsxp.mvps.org/autoplayhandlers.htm) to delete them. Just download / unzip it and run it from the extracted folder.

Then highlight / delete the Imgburn entries

It's not too shabby actually, partition recovery tools, password recovery tools, uses a win 7 ultimate PE environment to run off.

Could be useful for running windows utilities like a windows only bios update tool for a laptop when the laptop has no OS, or is running linux etc..
