It it comes with a dongle, both probably need it to work. The BT maybe different from the onboard BT

Only thing to do take it to the shop ask the shop if you can test it. Before you buy it

Aww crap it turns out the laptop doesnt have bluetooth :badpc:
It is such a good laptop i dont want to throw it out, except the damage of course
Keyboard is knackered by spillage, no bluetooth, no usb ports
I have a mission on my hands as you can see

It is my only option except the trash bin...

Laptop is a NEC P9110 core 2 duo, nvidia graphics hdmi, was going to use it to surf the internet on my tv but if i cant fix the usb ports (only 1 needed :dogeye:) then it is going in the bin

Does anyone knnow where i could buy replacement usb ports??

The small board i am holding has two usb ports on it....did have, sorry

EDIT #2 I have investigated pcmcia usb but it has pci-e and i cannot find any

Look for a number or code on that part. If you can remove it. And see if you get anything in Google. There maybe spare parts around somewhere

Yeah done that speedy
It is a MSI 1719B:VER0D

Google brings up a MSI 1719A at ebay but that is the wrong part unfortunately and at that price i would throw this out

Thanks for your help speedy btw :)

I have never heard of pcie slots like this on a laptop. Any if thisis any use: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Laptops/PC-cards/auction-395207865.htm
