Today went past a Morris Marina for sale near the new roundabout SH16 Brighams Creek intersection.
For $2500 stopped and had a look as after a car for my 15 year old thought at that price it would be a minter.
But no its rough and got some rust in it only reason for price I can think of is they use one on that BBC motoring show.
Have been out bid on TM for an Austin Princess so may bid on a Kimberly after I have a look at it.

uh...in case you haven't noticed the price of all those relics have skyrocketed, Shitty corollas and escorts have been going for thousands of dollars.

Might have been a good first car 20 years ago....but....it aint 20 years ago.

Yep Escorts are worth a bit if you can find one not filled with bog.
Never noticed the BMC cars rocketing in price though, was hoping to get a good BLMC car for less than a grand.

Nasty.
We made the mistake of buying one of those once - from parents.
Worst heap of **** we ever owned.
Door handles would snap off if you so much as touched them, nearly wrecked itself one day going over a pothole - we went back later in a real car to see where this gigantic hole was - small scuffed bit on the road.
After owning it for about 5 minutes the transmission killed itself.
Took forever to find a wreckers willing to accept it.

Hah! That realy says everything, doesn't it!

Hard to believe there are any old Escorts around still - my one had so much rust and bog in the wheel arches when I parted with it a decade ago.

I think the comment on the P76 was a bit harsh, I loved them and still do.

Seems strange the Marina engine would use oil and the other BLMC cars with the same B series engine didnt.

I think the Marina and the Allegro was the finish of BMC, BL.
They never kept up with new technology.
