I've got all the "gear" but am unsure where to start.I have a 700mb .rar file which is titled as an iso file.I know that is has to be burned as a bootable cd.However do I just burn the rar file as iso.Or do I extract this first (which then becomes a 3.5gig file) & burn it to a dvd. The file in question is the open source XP Dark(quite legal I understand) which has got the better of my curiosity.Am able to use either Nero or Burning Studio for the the task.Guess I just want to know is where do I start and what do I start with??

You have to extract whats in the rar file then burn it (there maybe an ISO in it). Somehow, I dont think it is legal

a simple google search shows that to be a torrent

how did you come to the conclusion it is "quite legal"?

Just because it is available as a torrent doesn't make it illegal does it? I did not obtain this via a torrent site.Would appreciate comments on my original post as to how I can convert this to an iso file

I told you. If there's an ISO in it extract the rar file then burn the ISO

If its XP and its 3-4 gb its probably pirated

Windows XP Dark Edition Version is made or rather modified by someone from Thailand with the initials "Catalogk" (Try checking the properties menu. Where there was written By Catalogk, small, in the lower right corner). For the newest version is version 7 //snip

:illogical
