hi,

i was wondering if 1680x1050 is proportional to 1080p resolution...

what i mean is, can you run 1680x1050 on a HD monitor and not get stretched images?

please ask for more info if needed coz i dont think i worded this properly :D

According to my calculator - it has been wrong before. :D

HD:
1920 x 1080 = 1.77777777777 = 16:9 Ratio

1680 x 1050 = 1.6 = 16:10 Ratio

There will be some squishing (very technical jargon) at fullscreen stretching (another one). :)

:thanks :thanks

might as well get a 1680x1050 monitor... be cheaper anyway AND would keep frame rates up as well

A lot of 22" monitors run at 1920x1080.

A lot of 22" monitors run at 1920x1080.

Most new 22's now seem to be 1080. These are now cheaper than the 1680x1050 as well .
