I've got a G11, and am wondering if it's possible to get it to control a few VLC functions, without having to have VLC selected. At the moment on one of the profiles (media) I've got, for example, G1 mapped to next track, G2 mapped to crop, G3 to aspect ratio, etc.

This is all well and good, but obviously VLC needs to actually be selected for this to work - I'm wanting, if possible, to get it to control VLC without having to physically select it in windows.

Done a bit of searching around, but haven't found anything that does what i'm after. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks. :)

hmm interesting idea, you'd need to set the macro to select the application somehow before sending the keypress. I might have a play on my G15.

Why next track on G1? the G11 has a next track button already - although same issue with only working on the active application I guess

Thanks - yeah the next track, play, pause etc all works, I just like having it easily available to the left hand too.
