Looks like they deceived users about the security and encryption of its cloud storage services. (http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/dropbox-ftc-complaint-zaw2.pdf?tag=mantle_skin;content)

And here's the complaint about them (http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/dropbox-ftc-complaint-zaw2.pdf?tag=mantle_skin;content) <- pdf file

Guess the guy who complained works for another company. Been using Dropbox for about a year now no problems..

What? You and others thought it would be 100% secure??!!! hahaha. There is no such thing as 100% secure on a network.

Funny thing is I just 'dropped' it today, found a better deal at AVG, 5 gig's for the same price.

I always like my data where I can see it. Clean out and backup my inbox every year (or month) to my trusty WD.

I just use HFS on a machine at home, I dont usually need to share that many large files.
But if I do its easy to just drag and drop in to the correct folder on that machine then give the other person my ip and port and then username and password

I don't use it for secure stuff just for software updates and patches for the techs out there which we support. Way easier to email a download link to Dropbox than telling them how to login to a FTP or web site to do it..
