Is the phone in the correct mode? Many phones these days will present themselves as any one of several different devices; the default one is usually a modem.

If you're just wanting to transfer pictures off it, you'd normally need to put it into the correct mode first, which will cause it to present itself as a USB Mass Storage or MTP/PTP device.

Simply transferring photos off the phone does not usually require an extra driver, but using the phone as a modem usually does (unless using the Vista / Win7 RNDIS driver, or presenting as a USB ethernet device).

Which model of phone is this?

Thanks EraydTry Settings>>PC Connections>>Mass Storage - according to the manual for your phone, that should do the trick.

Note that you need to have the default storage location set to the SD card for them to show up there.

Yeah, was gonna say my phone has a "Printing mode" a "Memory card mode" and a "PC suite" mode. It says which one you want when you plug it in via USB.
