Hi Gurus....

I have Windows media player and am trying to run some sewing videos from Bernina available on the Net... some play perfectly, some do not and tell me I need codec G2M3. I found a link to Citrix and d/l the file but at the end of the installation it tells me that it cannot find a folder to install it to... sigh...

Any ideas please?

TIA

Just use VLC, runs anything without whinging about codecs.

To add insult to injury the Windows Media Encoder has now been removed from the Microsoft site... sigh....

Possible solution from this blog (http://blogging.compendiumblog.com/blog/all-y0ur-b0x3n-ar3-b3l0ng-t0-m3/0/0/just-say-no-to-g2m3-), but requires running converters, e.g. TMPGenc (http://www.tmpgenc.net/en/index.html).

Sssshhhhhh.... Instead of choosing Run on the page for the GoToMeeting codec, I saved to my Desktop, and then installed.... I have actually been able to see some of one of the videos where I previously only got sound... keeping everything crossed this continues....
