You might want to have a look at this (http://download.cnet.com/CCEnhancer/3000-18512_4-75212385.html). I haven't tried it yet. Will it cause more problems that it solves? Sometimes these thongs can be a little too thorough!

Interesting, seems it targets registry fragments.

no - it does both in the normal way cc works, but adds a whole raft of software to look for that may have been installed/uninstalled that leaves fragments and/or their own type of temp files as well as registry entries if/when the reg cleaner function of cc is used

the list in the options you set in cc is expanded... you choose what to do with those as normal

If you do add it to Ccleaner I cannot see a way to remove it again if you decide against it unless you uninstall Ccleaner with something like Revo

But that's not too much of a problem, tho' I think we should have been given the option.

I have been using this for the last three months on my desktop and laptop no problems with either.

To remove just extract winapp2.ini from C:\Program Files\CCleaner and reinstall ccleaner again.

I'd like CCleaner to add a registry compression feature.

I used to use one for XP and it made start up a bit quicker.

The registry gets bloated and deleting entries still leaves the space (afaik)
