I Have a book cover, text & pictures that I have designed. It is in A4 but I want to change it into an A5. Is there an easy way to do this? TIA PJ

Yes, I thinkso, most paper books seem to be that size. PJ.

Two amateur solutions: If you turn it into a PDF you will have the option to resize to A5 when printed.

The other alternative is to capture a large image of your A4 page, and use that image, which is resizable, as a replacement for your A4 cover page. This method may hurt the final resolution of your resulting page.

Tried the link but the text does not apply to my My Documents. No "Apply" on my page. Will have to start again on an A5 page. No problem. PJ

If you plan to publish/share on the net, you can submit to popular sites like Scribd, Docstoc, WePapers and Google Docs. For some, can convert between formats, and I think re-download back to Word or PDF.

Just open the document then click file, print and choose a5 as the paper size.

What do you mean does not apply to My Docs?

We have tried the above umpteen times but it doesn/t work. The Link you put up has a line that says 'click apply' there is NO apply onthat page.

There are 4 book covers in A4 to downsze to A5. I was hoping for an easy remedy. PJ

PJ

not sure if you read it wrong or not - but it doesn't say 'click apply', it says

In the Apply to box, click Selected text.

Simplest answer.

Send them to me via Email. I will make them A5 and email them back.

Just noticed too BTW that your book covers are actually pictures. :)

I expect you are right, but those words are not on my page. PJ

Hi PJ, you could also have scanned it and used Irfanview, print printer setup and choose A5.

Wifey does this with her cards.
