What is the procedure for renewing your virus checker subscription for the Norton Virus program for NZ subscribers. I do not have a credit card so sent Symantec an american bank check which was returned to me saying I had to use a credit card.
I know of at least five people from Seniornet who have Symantec virus checker installed on their machines when they brought them and did't even know that they now have no protection from viruses after 90 days

You could try calling techpacific as they are the distrubuter in nz ph 414 0100 (sales option 1 in menu) and ask them how.

Try resetting your PC's date prior to your subscription expiry and try an update. Re-set your date after downloading the new definitions. This might work until you get Symantec to take your money.

Craig, thank you for your reply, the 0800 number was really appreciated. I will have to wait until monday, the party concerned is on leave until then. will let you know the results later.
