My husband has changed to a larger screen and now has gaps around the left side of the screen. "Speccy" says the new screen is a Phillips 190SD. Current resolution 1152 X 864 pixels. Monitor frequency - 60Hz (should this be 50Hz?)
His previous screen was an AOC ?? 26 X 41cm. How does he get the desktop and windows to fit the screen. It seems to need to be shifted to the left as some of the icons etc on the right, are partially covered. Thanks

I think you need to adjust the monitor settings which should be accessible from a button on the monitor

New screen should have a native resolution, either 1440x900 or 1650x1080 for 19"LCD, however the PC needs to know that it has a 19"LCD and not the old smaller one still installed....
Did a CD with drivers not come with the screen!

Set the resolution to whatever the native res of the monitor is. As far as I can tell 190SD is not a valid Philips model number, unless it's really old, so I'd hazard a guess maybe it should be running 1280x1024.
