View Full Version : how can i make win98 view all folders the same?

I am wondering how do I make windows have a certain default view of folder contents. For example. I am constantly changing all my folders to have a view of the Details rather than the default of icons layed out in a grid.

How can i change it so that every folder is the same?

Go to the 'View' menu of any My Computer window, and choose 'Folder Options', then click on the 'View' tab and you'll see a button called 'Like Current Folder'. Click this and all your windows will display the same way.

hi there

I too find my computer loses the view settings. I do the above (I like 'view as web page' so I can see any thumbnails and file attributes), it says changes will take effect next time I open the folders, then the next time I go into explorer it is back as it was - win 98.

Any other suggestions?
