I have a laptop infected with some kind of website re direction spyware/virus.

I have run Malwareytre, Spybot and SuperAntispyware with a clean report. The Host file was having enteries added but have stopped that now but still getting re-directed.

Have deleted all temp files etc manually and with CCleaner.

I can't find where the infection is coming from. Have removed start up with HJT etc.

Ideas

Should add the Malwarebytres found an infection and removed but now reporting clean.

Just did a Google search for Malwarebytes and when I clicked on the link it redirected to http://www.icitysearch.com.au/search.php?q=business+loan but can be any random site it is redirected to.

You can tick these entries then tick fix cheked. Close browsers, or delete its entry with ccleaner

If youre using a router, try resetting / configuring it. Malware can also affect some routers, and will also redirect you to different sites

I used to know how to manually remove these rootkits but has been a while since I had to do it. I downloaded tdsskiller and this seems to have done the job.

Will do some more testing but looks OK for now.

Try trojan remover. If this is 32 bit. Update it then scan, see if it picks anything up. Then select all options under the utilities menu

All good now.

tdsskiller and MS Security sorted it. Avast was installed when I got the laptop but found nothing. Old story ues more than program to sort.
