There's a forbidden city AND a forbidden site in china now :p 403 forbidden

Haha, just read further down the 403, "Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Looks like someone screwed some settings, even the server can't access the ED's

Brings back memories. My very first computer was a Commodore VIC 20 which I expanded to a huge 32k. It was tape driven and you used the TV for a screen. The trick was to go and boil the jug and make a cup of coffee while you waited for the programme to load. I then got a Commodore 64, then an Amiga 2000 and finally an SX IBM compatible.

I believe that Commodore went broke.

My laptop beats that mac.

Since I switched to Ubuntu I've been using Suspend to RAM instead of Hibernate.

The video is comparing full boot time, not resume time from standby, completely different.

Why boot when there's no need to?

Hey ubergeek,

I hope to not distract this thread but do you still have the monopoly file mentioned here: http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/showthread.php?t=94233&page=2

Just curious if you still had it floating around 'cause the link has expired. Thanks.

Yeah but you only need 7 or so floppys to back it up on too, at about $30 a box:banana

Er, nix that sorry. It looks like it's gone kaput. Can't find the ISO anywhere on my HD. I might still have the CD somewhere, I'll check tomorrow.

The first "microcomputer" I was involved with was an IBM using CP/M as the OS which had to be loaded into RAM from (cassette) tape each morning (:yuck::sleep). Then DOS arrived.
