Kiaora. I have a Asrock N68-S3 UCC motherboard with a AMD x3 450 unlocked to a quad-core (X4 B50)

The software that comes with it states that it runs at 55c idle and mobo at 50c (yeah yeah it's hot).

I then installed EVEREST which had trouble detecting my motherboard but showed 46c for CPU temp, as did the program speedfan (45-46). Both those two programs also showed correct mobo temp (50c). Also it's a HOT day in a HOOT shed haha.

Even though the software had trouble detecting the motherboard model, should I rely on those two independent programs more. Because the fan is running at 6000rpm whilst doing nothing and I don't believe it's at 55c....

I will be installing an extra 120mm fan to get that mobo temp down, but can I please have some advice on which program to rely on and opinions about the reality of 55c with a 6000rpm fan. Cheers.

What does the BIOS say?

Reported temps are not particularly hot, but if you're going to overclock then you should expect temp issues anyway.

Personally, I have some doubts about the mobo running hotter than the cpu, particularly if at rest with the bus idle.

Are not ASRock rebadged boards? You might check temps with the SIW utility.
