Over the last 2 days have had problems with IHUG and am very surprised no one has posted on this forum (am I the only one)
Can not connect to email (password or login name incorrect)
or (server may be down)
I have heard they are having problems but can not believe that no one has posted here.
I can check emails on web mail but HINDoors can not and won't let me near her puter
as she thinks it is my fault.

Do IHUG still exist? What mail server settings are you using?

No problem using Outlook but when I use my other email programme on my netbook (Thunderbird) I get intermittent problems as you describe.

Thats it,I am using Thunderbird and the problem is the same as a month or so ago.
It had me wondering tho as no one else was posting on here.

I'm using Thunderbird without any problems :)

I am also using Mailwasher Pro.

Are you with Ihug (Vodafone), because it is their servers with which Thunderbird is having intermittent problems ?

Of course I am with Ihug - I would not have posted otherwise :(

Methinks the issue is at your end.

There was a notice on Ihug to say they were aware of the problem.
I would have thought it would have been settled long ago as it has happend on and off over a long time now. When you use mailwasher I would say it logs u in not TB.

I still have to access their (Ihug/Vodafone's) server to retrieve my emails and that is achieved by using Thunderbird :)

As I have previously stated - no problems my end.
