Im looking at getting some psus for some pcs and saw this one at pb tech.
http://pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=PSUGRE0660&name=Great-Wall-GW-660SEL-660W-ATX-Power-Supply--Active

Does anyone know anything about the quality of the brand?

Wouldn't touch it. A 450W Corsair would probably be more reliable than that thing!

Seconded. Avoid cheap nasty PSUs.

Jonnyguru gave a pretty good review on a Great Wall built Sparkle PSU
(http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=212)

Not sure how good the PSUs under their own name are, though.

Onky problem is that it uses Teapo capacitors which are OK but not great. It might work great for a 1 hour review but after a year it may be turned to crap. Who knows?

Cheap psu's are a gamble. They may be OK for years, or cr*p out just beyond the warranty period.

Another $40 will get you a Cooler Master of the same wattage.
If you can afford it, get a Corsair. Yes, you may pay nearly double as the cheapie in your link for a quality psu. If you have high demands on your pc such as overclocking or gaming, avoid cheapie psu's. If you are short of cash, want to take a chance, and will not thrash your pc, get the cheapie and then come back here in 3 or 4 years to tell us how long it lasted.

If you want to ensure your PSU doesn't blow up, make sure it's a good quality design.

If you want to ensure it lasts a long time, make sure it also has high quality capacitors in it.

A lot of PSUs are good designs let down by crappy capacitors. However those are easy to replace with better quality ones....
