Hi guys,

We have a 250GB seagate freeagent external HDD which use for backing up our computer's 120GB hard drive.

I'm not sure how the seagate freeagent software works each time it backs up = does it just back up the changes since last back up, or totally new copy?

The problem i have is the freeagent HDD is now saying it is full when we go to back up, strange when it should have heaps of room leftover?!

So I've tried searching online for answers and can't find any info from seagate themselves, or elsewhere.

I searched on the external HDD to see what data was there, and under the 'seagate back up' folder it shows folders marked Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 etc is this just showing the levels it has backed up from our computers C drive, or could they be each back up event?? (the word 'level' threw me off a bit here?)

Appreciate anyone's advice thanks :)

Depending on the software, it may back up incrementally, but doesn't remove the old backup.
