Hi all,

Been having some problems with my win7 pc accessing the network. It is connected to our router through ethernet.

When the computer wakes up from sleep mode, the network does not reconnect. Right clicking >> troubleshoot has no affect. I can restore the network only by resetting the computer, or by going into advanced adaptor properties and changing Link speed and duplex mode from "Auto negotiation" to any other option and back again.

I had some success by setting the mode to one of the other options (100Mbps full duplex) and leaving it there, but it crippled transfer rates from other computers on our local network.

Any help rendered would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

GorCh

Go to the NIC in device manager, go to the power management tab untick the 1st option? That may fix it

Check to see if you have latest drivers for your network card, is this a OEM PC or self built...Some devices do have issues coming out of sleep, namely my Sandforce SSD and some models of NV and ATI graphic cards
