Well since I dont drive, shoot, go canoeing, go camping, fish, and I dont own this flat.

Forget 1,3,4,6,7,9,14,15,17,18,19,20,22,23. Altho it doesnt mean I cant. Its a bit hard to do it, if you dont have a car, dont own a house, a canoe, or a rifle

But seriously, ladies - would you trust them?

JIM GURNICK
General contractor, 59

Has jump-started many a car - and can fix the engine too. - and has cooked a three-course meal.

Well I can jump start a car too, but the engine repair impresses me. Meal - nah, who cares.

PAUL MORKEL
Lift electrician, 54

asked to jump-start cars often.

He chops wood, he's built a fence , he's built a microwave cabinet -

The fence building and cabinet get my ticks.

STEPHEN NEAME
Construction worker, 41

Fixes stereos, drills. " And he cooks.

Stereo fixing, yup.

ROBERT STURGESS
Construction worker, 29

Has fixed vacuum cleaners and built a coffee table

Appliance fixing, furniture building, great.
BRAD DEMEYER
Retail manager, 34

Has fixed stereo equipment, helped build a fence, chopped wood. And cooked a barbecue.

Fixing, BBQ - all men can BBQ, well they should anyway. Helped build a fence?? Uh, nope, helping is what I do with stuff like that.

Lighting a camp fire in pouring rain is a valuable skill. :clap

Sadly, the art of lighting a camp fire even in the dry is a thing of the past now. Most day trampers carry thermoflasks, they hardly know what a billy is. :banana

Come on Terry! - a man of your distinction and generation should know it should be Thermos Flask (not thermoflask), and anyway, that's a trade name - it's really a vaccum flask (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum_flask) invented by James Dewar in 1892.

Tell you what tho, I have seen the other thing spelt as "billie" (same sort of person who thinks that a female should be called "Leslie" and not "Lesley"!) :horrified

A man must also know how to fix the winch when it won't stop. :p

Happened to me once. Wouldn't stop even after we disconnected the battery :stare:

This is why I love 'keale, every day this summer we have gone down the river and lit up a blaze. We are to cheap to get a proper billy, we just sneak into the 7th form common room and grab one of the massive milo tins. works a treat.

Tell you what tho,

How does one spell "tho" again .... pretty sure it was though when I went to school ... :D

Or ... if you want to use the "informal" spelling ... it should be tho' with the apostrophe.

And that completes our English language session for this Sunday .... :devil

I can proudly say I can do 23/25 as I have not cleaned a bold action rifle but I have fired one so how hard can it be to clean one. Also I can't remember ever using a torque wrench but I am sure that is pretty easy as well.

Do I get a badge or something now?
