Hi all
I have changed over to laptop completely close to2 years ago.
Now I would like to use some of the "old" hdd's(IDE) and am looking at this (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=331727881)docking station. I just dont want to through things away when still working ok. Just that I do not want any desktop case around .
Has anyone of you used this one above successfuly?
Thanks

Personally I've never used one but I see no reason to hold back :)

Personally I'd get one of these (http://ascent.co.nz/productspecification.aspx?ItemID=368105) rather than a no-name thing off TM, but that no name thing ought to work quite well. I've got a digitus SATA one here thats mint, works a treat.

The thing I linked to comes with a power adapter with a few different plugs and a sata cable, and works with any 2.5" or 3.5" IDE device, as well as sata (works sweet with DVD drives too). I've got a couple, they are worth their weight in gold.

Thanks, that looks very promissing and most likely the way I'm going.
The other docking station looks just more elegant though possibly not able to attach a DVD drive.
