So what's a good CAD program for noobs like me that's relatively easy to use, does 3D naturally and can export as STL or possibly RFO preferably STL though

blender is a 3d / modeling program. Theres a few external links (on the site) to other programs (which are also free), that you can use with it. It may or may not be hard. Not too sure if it supports STL/RFO tho

Take a look at this one ... most high schools use it in their design courses ... Archicad is the program name.

Decided Art of Illusion didn't do what i wanted so installed Blender and about to start some tutorials. Need to do something productive with my time at home

Been playing with Solidworks student, much more intuitive than Blender however the $10k for a commercial licence is a killer since I have a project that could involve producing drawings for other people I have to have a commercial licence.

Am about to try FreeCAD since it is open source.

Has anybody used Turbo CAD?
