Recently, my music has been lagging, even when doing small multitasking things. It sounds fine when I have nothing running, but even if I have firefox going now, it starts skipping and it sucks. I used to have music going while playing starcraft 2, but now it just sounds really awful. It has only started happening like a week ago, and the changes I have done recently, was install fallout New Vegas and update iTunes as well. What could be the problem?

Re-reading that, the English is pretty hard to understand at some parts, sorry :(

If you're playing it through itunes, maybe itunes is broken?
Try a different media player?

Edit - or y'know, reinstall itunes.

oh yea, lol. I'll give that a try and come back to you. I use itunes because it's easier for my ipod and other players don't support ipod touch :(

If you have any more problems, consider upgrading your RAM.

It's a new computer, 4gb ram and I would need to get 64 bit win7 for any more ram :(

OK, still not completely resolved, I have like 5 tabs right now, and sometimes, it's still scratchy at some parts, I go back and play it again and it's fine, could it be my speakers? I have used to have them at full volume sometimes a while back, could that have done something?

Where did you get the audio drivers from? The mobo cd, windowsupdate, the mobo maker's site (ASUS, GB, etc). Or the manufacturer's site (realtek, VIA etc)? Could be a prob with the drivers. It may also be a bug in the version of the BIOS thats on it. Whats the brand / model of the mobo?

I have no idea at all. I will try updating the drivers

When you say its a new system, did you buy it as a system? Or build it?

I bought it, it's a laptop. HP, I did the driver update thing and it said there is nothing new available. I listen to the same songs on the ipod and they are fine, but on my computer (not just itunes) they are all really crappy and skip bits and stuff.

I can now confirm that it is due to something lagging my computer, after a restart, I have not experienced it yet and I'm playing the same stuff.

No, it was the first thing I did. And by NEW, it's a few months old, pretty new to me considering what I moved up from.
