I want to record without wired headphones, have tried a few pairs of wireless but the sound quality seems to suffer somewhat.

Are there decent wireless headphones that dont cost the world?

Which of the two types did you try? Maybe trial the other type.
A: Wireless - high frequency transmitter to headset receiver. Possibly subject to interference from other wireless devices around you (mobile, cordless phone, wireless network)
B. Infrared - works on line-of-sight from a 'transmitter' which you place on a bookshelf etc so that it can 'see' your headset. Less prone to interference but relies on being within reach and within 'sight'.

Depends on what you call pricey .....

Bought these for SWMBO (watches a lot of TV) - chose the 'closed' ones as we're both in same room while she's watching

They are very good - both SQ and build. Clarity excellent. So is the range.

For similar money - these are supposed to be quite good too (open - so richer sound)

We originally had a cheaper ($120ish) pair of Sonys. No comparison between the two. Wouldn't go back to a cheaper WL headphone now.

That second link is more what I was thinking. I might give them a try. Wouldn't pay anymore than that though.
My ones cost $180 and are excellent, but playing guitar with the wire hanging around does some what get fustrating so i think Ill have to put effort and money into a decent set. I also enjoy the outside noise cancellation so I can hear certain effects or odd noise in the background when using effects and stuff.
