Went to one last month. It was not terribly marvellous as far as food went.

Anyway just recently I was browsing other restaurants and looking for good reviews for next time when it occurred to me I should add my review of that place. So I did, didn't rubbish it, gave good for other features of the place, just the food sucked.

So now I get harrassed by the website guy cause the rerstaurant owner (who happens tobe Waitakere Licensing Trust!) didn't like my review and wanted to contact me.
I said I wasn't interested and since then the website guy has been hounding me.

Oh, so we are only supposed to give good reviews? Bad ones aren't allowed??

I usually complain more about the quantity rather than quality of food.....I'm not a very picky person, anything I like I will demolish in copious quantities!

You would get banned for that kind of potty-mouth!

I posted a review on one of the places we ate at a while ago at this site.

While no one contacted us regarding our very poor review of the place, I noticed the review had been removed from the site within a few days.

The only reviews of this restaurant on the site are all good one's praising the food, the service etc yet people I know who have been there complain about the tasteless food, poor service etc.

Can't get more impartial than that..........

The Waitaikere Licensing trust is a Nazi like organization which stops us westies from buying piss at the supermarket.
Nothing sunrises me with them they are aggressive as.

If they don't like the review then they should raise their game after all that's what reviews are for to help people avoid crap. Unless of course your promoting Norton then you can amp it up all you like it seems

I suppose unless they aren't suing you for libel or anything legal, it is possible for you to ignore their hounding?

What's sort of harrassment are we talking about here? Persistent 24/7 phone calls? 10 e-mails a day demanding an explanation?

Cheers :)

Its not the Waitakere trust thats hounding PcTek its the Website Guy

as for the Waitakere trust
Like any normal business, they probably want more detail on what exactly was wrong with their product, and things like what night etc, so they can drill down and locate what the problem was.
There is also the issue with the anonymity of the web, which is good in one sense, but also allows your rivals to badmouth your business anonymously and Joe public has no way to distinguish a legitimate review, with a deliberately bad review.
After all there are a plethora of a bogus review sites out there.

I have written bad reviews on Dineout before and no one has contacted me about it. What is the web site guy actually say about it, And what is the name of the Restaurant that you reviewed.

NationwideReading the forum and FAQ on that website, I wouldn't trust it for reviews. Looks like they have a superiority complex and/or control freaks.

What a load of pretentious crap.

Any reviewer who writes in this manner;

Mum and The Boyfiend had the fish and chips which came with a complimentary wine or beer for $20 (great value, in my opinion) and they were tasty (I got told off for swiping too many chips!). Dad and I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked
just reads far too many of these things in the throwaway papers. And some you have to pay for.

Personally, I don't think anything that costs $20 is complimentary (I know what she's trying to say, but her abuse of grammar and lack of punctuation leaves her wide open. If this is the type of clientele the establishment offers, I'll steer clear.

I was on the same train of thought as Morgenmuffel.

While not entirely likely, how do you know the owner isn't trying to make amends and get you to come back and give his / her store a 2nd chance?

Perhaps. But I am not interested in talking to WLT, told website guy that.
So he has to continue to harrass me and then remove by review???

It's a review, it's on a review site, it's not a mediation service for customers and restaurant owners.

Bit spiteful removing it, is WLT paying him??

Then go to a business review site, and place a review saying that dineout.co.nz are morons.
