Oh

My

God.

How freakn' complicated it is to burn a few avi's to a DVD format!

I've tried about 1 zillion 'free' programs, and I'm now at the stage where I am prepared to pay for something as long as it just works!

Recommendations?

If you use Vista / Win7, use Moviemaker (you'll have to download MM for Win7). Load / edit it with MM, then burn it with DVD maker. Piece of cake

Ok, so I downloaded and installed DVD Flick, used it to create 'AUDIO_TS' and 'VIDEO_TS' folders, used Nero Lite to burn these to a DVD, put it in the DVD player and the video comes through fine, but no audio. *sigh*

What am I doing wrong?

I paid for DVD Santa and it's top notch... no issues on XP or Windows 7 Pro.

Works like a charm.

Encodes really quickly especially if you have a Core2Duo or higher CPU.

I'm sure Audio_TS folders have always been empty, as the folder is present for compatibility with certain DVD players. have you tried playing a VOB file on the PC? I think you should hear sound...

Just tried playing the VOB file, and it has sound.

Ok weird, I just tried it again and it has sound. Perhaps something was muted.
