NTLDR is missing in one of my computers (Windows 7) and I have another workable Windows 7 computer. So how can I fix this?

X 2 to what gary asked.

You were told in Your other post (http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/showthread.php?t=113470) #7 how to repair that. It usually works.

NTLDR is related to the boot sector. In my opinion the best answer is to completely reinstall Windows.

I wouldn't be confident of painlessly imaging your old drive to your new kit without enduring considerable hair-tearing pain and frustration... in case that is what is going on.

MS's advice is to use recovery console and replace file from DVD.

Try this (repair install of Win7)

NTLDR is related to the boot sector. In my opinion the best answer is to completely reinstall Windows. Total waste of time.

Its windows 7, the hidden partition has the files you need, more often than not you simply run the W7 DVD, tell it to fix the problem and it reloads them into the main C drive, and works fine.

Which is what the link posted by feersumendjinn says/suggests. Done it countless times.

If the ops previous posts were read, it will more than likely be the end results of a bad clone from software ( acronis and such) that dont clone the windows 7 drive correctly.
