Dick Smith is advertising this laptop and keyboard/mouse/stand for $899 - any thoughts on value for $

(only general use plus maybe dual-booting linux using wubi)

that should be great for dual booting... keep in mind it's not widescreen like most laptops are these days
[EDIT]: for $950 on trademe, i got this laptop (see my signature).

Why would he want to buy some random used thing when DSE have this quality brand cheap? And he gets full warranty via Toshiba with it.

I'm not talking about used computers, You can get some great deals on new computers with full manufacturer's warranties

Is that the Acer Travelmate, for $950?, that is an awesome price...I got one for staff for personal use for $1450 which is better than the $2100 retail!

Thanks for your comments - I bought the DSE one.
No HDMI port but that's OK as I can stream anything I like to my TV over the local network (Win 7 is DLNA compliant)

I'll put WUBI/Kubuntu on this weekend.
