Then just a matter of upgrading the RAM to 2Gb

I have the 1015 PED - it's brilliant. The 1015PEM I linked above is even better - dual core atom, but with similar 9-13 hour battery life. Wasn't on the market when I bought mine unfortunately.

+1 for that. I've owned 2 EeePC's and an NB200. To be honest I preferred the NB200 the most.

Maybe the 1201PN is worth the extra money.
Bigger screen, more ram & more drive.

PBTech have the NB300, the next model up, but funnily enough it's a hundred bucks or so less than I paid for mine back 12 months ago
