View Full Version : Acer Aspire One ZG5 recovery

Hi all got a netbook here i got given to look at as its not booting. only shows acerone boot screen then goes black.

can get into BIOS and boot from usb dvd drive.

the person hasnt got the Acer Aspire One ZG5 - Linux Windows XP Restore Disk.

Anyone know were to download the cd?

Press Alt-F10 after you reboot it / boot it up. If that doesn't work if its got a recovery partition remove the hdd and see if there are any ISO's on it. If there's one there, burn it / them

this is very helpful tip -it saves my frustration solving the same problem thanks for sharing

Yeh tryed that and no luck. was one of the 1st things i tryed i seen off youtube. didnt do anything apart from lod to a black screen with mouse on it like before. :horrified

Umm did you try removing the hdd and putting it in another system? To see if there's a partition / ISO on it?? What CPU is in it? AMD/Intel?

I would give Acer a ring, see what they say. If there's no ISO on it

Atom and is a 8gb SSD

Is it a Linpus recovery DVD? Dont know if this inc XP. Dont think it does
